NMC Surfacing were employed to plane out and resurface the failed areas of the car park. Our client also requested that we identify and replace worn drainage channels as necessary. The work was to be carried out within a six-week period and site access was restricted to Monday - Thursday to avoid the busiest trading days and minimise disruption..
Due to the nature of the site Traffic Management was essential to ensure the safety of both the public and our operatives. Each phase of the project required the extensive use of Herras fencing and debris netting which was supplied and installed by NMC Surfacing. The final phase included the resurfacing of the entrance road and required the use of two-way traffic lights.
Prior to the work commencing a phasing plan was agreed with our client, each phase was planed out and replaced with SMA except for the entrance road where NMC Surfacing recommended that a HRA material would be more suitable due to the amount of traffic. Provision had been made within the scope of works for the replacement of drainage channels as necessary, identified during the project by our highly skilled team. As each phase was completed all excavated material was removed from site and the area swept prior to re-lining.
